Pitching In: We really love what we do


When we started Pitch It, our goal was to run a good business for our family and, at the same time, offer our customers great service at an affordable price. Given the nature of what we do every day--picking up and hauling away unwanted items--we realized that we also had a unique opportunity to make a really positive, and we believe, significant contribution to our local community.

Pitching In: Power in numbers


Pitching In is our way, you could call it our mission, to recycle and donate everything that we possibly can. To accomplish this, we partner with a number of local recycling and donation organizations. Most are local small businesses, or non-profits, who are equally committed to reducing what gets sent to our landfills and, especially important to us, they provide things to those in our community who need them the most.

We are a proud partner and member of the California Green Business Network which helps certify and educate businesses like ours to adhere to sustainability standards that have the biggest impact where it counts the most:

Pitching In: Poverty Alleviation Charities Oakland

Not only is Pitch It passionate about the environment, but we're also a proud supporter of Poverty Alleviation Charities, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose work directly impacts low income and underserved communities in Oakland, CA and Chicago, IL. Their programs assist families living in poverty with a chance to live with greater independence and autonomy.


What's awesome is since their operating costs are completely covered by benefactors and donors, 100% of public donations go towards families in need.

Pitch It is a full-service, family-owned junk removal company servicing the East Bay and surrounding areas.


We love taking family camping trips, listening to and playing music, and yelling at the TV in support of our Warriors. 


Pitch It Fun Fact: Where did the Pitch It color come from?

Well, we wanted to get noticed, stand out a bit, and hopefully be memorable and fun. So, the inspiration for the Pitch It logo and colors can be explained in two ways: Red, pink and purple are the favorite colors of our 2nd grader. That same 2nd grader also likes the color of one of my favorite guitar pedals. 

Yep, that's right, we based the entire look of our business on a 2nd grader and a guitar pedal. Aside from a labor law or two, who says a 2nd grader can't be in charge of marketing?
